Documenting a sixteen-building pharmaceutical campus
We are currently documenting a pharmaceutical and healthcare park of sixteen buildings in Sandton, Johannesburg. The scope covers:

Pharmaceutical sites usually run continuously, with controlled areas and decades of incremental change. Before an expansion, compliance upgrade or new facility can be designed, the owner needs a reliable record of what is on site. Laser scanning captures the buildings without interrupting production, and one BIM model of the whole campus gives the owner, engineers and facility managers a single source of truth. What pharmaceutical and laboratory facilities need from an architect
Accurate records. Up-to-date as-built drawings are the basis for licensing, fire compliance, insurance and every future project on site.
Zoning and site development plans. Campus expansions often trigger an SDP, rezoning conditions or building line questions. We prepare and submit these to council.
Compliance coordination. Buildings must meet SANS 10400, including fire protection under Part T. For GMP and laboratory areas, we work alongside the client's quality team and specialist cleanroom and building services engineers, so architectural layouts support the required flows and cleanliness zoning.
Flow planning. Clear separation of people, materials, product and waste, from delivery to dispatch.
Phasing around operations. Work is sequenced so production and laboratories can keep running.
