Located opposite the Metro Mall on Bree Street, the project was done in collaboration with Let's go Jozi - an organisation providing aftercare for children attending school in the inner-city. The aim was to create a safe space within an existing building, thus creating space within existing space.
The design solution consisted of a wall partition with multiple functions. Apart from the conventional function of a wall providing enclosure, it is also designed to provide seating, pin-up space and a visual link to the inside where the same wall becomes the shelving and counter space.
